Oxford Flute Summer School
Description:
Oxford Flute Summer School has continued for over 35 years to offer flute players a wonderful week of music making.
This is a course for keen flautists of all abilities to come together from UK and around the world to share their love of music and flute playing. Our students range from recent graduates or young professionals, to older adults who love playing the flute, to youngsters about to apply for music college.
The principle of inclusion has been cemented over the years and the course has continued to provide an individually tailored programme for each of its participants based on a mix of individual lessons, masterclasses, concerts, small ensembles, flute choir and sessions with a pianist.
Our three strands provide you with options best suited to your level - Oxford Masterclass, Oxford Performers and Oxford Players. Please see our website for more details or call on 07745377643.
In 2024 tutors include Robert Winn (Koln Hochschule fur Musik), Kate Hill (ex Royal Academy of Music), Sue Thomas (Royal College of Music) and Carrie Hensel. Director Katie Bycroft and Founder Janet Way look forward to meeting you.
